LHC moved against contacts with Israel

A member of the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) has approached the Lahore High Court (LHC) against meeting between foreign ministers of Pakistan and Israel and prayed to the court to direct the respondent government to seek public mandate on the issue of establishing relations with Israel.
The petitioner, M.D. Tahir contended that establishing relations with Israel is not only against country's interests but also against the interests of Muslim community. He prayed to the court to restrain the respondent President Musharraf and Foreign Minister Khurshid Kasuri from holding further talks with Israeli authorities till disposal of the petition.
