Minister vows to develop Railways infrastructure

Planning is being devised to develop infrastructure of railways in a bid to cope with rising energy prices, Minister of State for Railways Ishaq Khan Khakwani said on Monday.
Talking to PTV, he said that being cost effective and economically viable, the usage of railways should be enhanced. Commenting on the new launched freight train service, he said the service would provide safest goods transportation services to traders.
Special emphasis is being made on training and enhancing educational standards of the railways' staff. Their salary structure was also being made competitive aimed at enhancing their standard of living, he added.
