SNGPL signs deal with DHCL

Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) and Dawood Hercules Chemical Limited (DHCL) on Wednesday signed gas sale/purchase agreement revalidated for a period of next four years. SNGPL Managing Director Abdul Rashid Lone, and DHCL Managing Director Shahzada Dawood, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
SNGPL is the largest integrated gas company in the country, serving more than 2.4 million consumers through an extensive pipeline network in Punjab and NWFP. The company has over 41 years experience in operation, maintenance and construction of high-pressure gas transmission and distribution system.
The DHCL was established as a joint venture between the Dawood Group and Hercules Incorporation. It was incorporated as a public limited company in 1968 to set up the largest fertiliser manufacturing plant in Pakistan. In the same year SNGPL and DHCL entered into their first gas sale/purchase agreement and have enjoyed excellent business relationship. Since start up in 1971, DHCL produced over 12 million metric tons of urea fertiliser.
