BB's counsel ends arguments in PIA reference

Abdul Hafeez Lakho, counsel for former prime minister Benazir Bhutto concluded his arguments here on Saturday before Judge Parkash Lal Ambwani of an Accountability Court at Karachi in an alleged corruption case commonly known as PIA reference.
Accused Benazir Bhutto, her political secretary Ms Naheed Khan, former PIA managing director Air Marshal Farooq Umar (Retd), Siraj Shamsuddin and others are facing charges of misuse of authority in 1,393 appointments, postings and transfers abroad in PIAC.
The court later put off further hearing till September 13 when Barrister Azizullah K Shaikh, counsel for Farooq Umar and Ms Naheed Khan would submit final arguments in defence of his clients.
