The Chairman of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, is leaving occupied Srinagar for New Delhi on Monday on his way to New York.
He said, in New York, he will attend meetings of the Foreign Ministers of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference and its Kashmir Contact Group, being held on the sidelines of the annual session of the UN General Assembly.
He said, he will also meet world leaders, present in New York, and inform them of the efforts of the APHC to get the Kashmir dispute resolved.
He said, he intends to meet Pakistan President, General Pervez Musharraf, and apprise him about the recent meeting of APHC delegation with the Indian Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh, in New Delhi.
APHC leader, Bilal Ghani Lone, in an interview with the Indian Daily, Tribune said, India and Pakistan are working in tandem to tackle the vexed Kashmir issue and the prevailing situation presents an opportunity to arrive at a solution.
