Pakistan arrested 24 Indian fishermen for illegally operating in its territorial waters, an official said Monday, on the same day as the South Asian rivals swapped more than 500 detainees.

Pakistani authorities have said they would swiftly release Indian fishermen arrested for sailing into its waters in future, but impound their boats.
