Wheat futures at the Chicago Board of Trade were lower at midmorning on Thursday on technical selling and bearish export data for US soft wheat, traders said.
As of 11:25 am CDT (1625 GMT), CBOT December wheat was down 5-1/4 cents at $3.22 per bushel. Deferred months were down 5 to 6 cents.
Refco Investor Services (formerly Cargill Investor Services) sold 500 December contracts, traders said.
CBOT wheat lost ground against Kansas City and Minneapolis wheat on inter-market spreads, following the US Department of Agriculture's weekly export sales report.
