The Pakistan Peoples' Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) on Saturday assailed Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Altaf Hussain for celebrating his birthday at the public expense.
In a statement issued here by the party's media centre, PPPP Raja Pervaiz Ashraf alleged millions of rupees spent on supplements in newspapers on his birthday were provided by the Sindh government.
He questioned the logic and justification behind going for such extravaganza, ignoring the plight of common man. "If Altaf Hussain is mindful of masses' problems, he should have donated this amount for their welfare."
