Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Sheikh Rashid underscored that much-awaited Swiss Court decision against Benazir Bhutto and her spouse Asif Ali Zardari would prove a last nail in the coffin of Pakistan Peoples Party and subsequently would get national politics affected to great extent.
"Swiss Court decision will consider new dimensions for PPP in politics that's why President General Pervez Musharraf has set free Asif Ali Zardari from confinement on the ground that he (Zardari) and his spouse Benazir should appear before the Swiss Court for their cases hearing," Sheikh Rashid said while talking to reporters after the meeting of newly elected Nazims and Naib Nazims of Potohar Town belonging to PML and inauguration ceremony of the election office of PML candidates in Rawal Town here on Sunday.
Rashid rejected the rumours about the early elections in the country saying that general elections would be held in 2007 in which the ruling PML was set to clean sweep the elections. He informed that the opposition would not find even a single contender to field him in the 2007 general elections.
He said that Pakistan Muslim League (PML) would succeed the elections of district and town Nazims throughout the country specially in Rawalpindi district on October 6.
"These local bodies polls are the rehearsal of 2007 general elections. We laid down a strong base of chain of victory in the country in these elections", he said adding that the victory in LB polls would take the ruling party on high esteem in the 2007 general elections.
"In politics those policemen who salute you while you are in power will also bring the handcuff to arrest you when you are in opposition" he said adding that said that only that person can resolve the problem of the people who know about problems and himself passed through the dilemma of common man.
He said that Pakistan Muslim League always bestowed the politics of service and decency to its voter and this was the reason that the party brought honest and devoted candidates for the slot of district and town Nazims in District, Rawal and Potohar Town.
