Siemens Pakistan in conjunction with SAP Malaysia is holding SAP summIT '05 in Karachi, Pakistan at the Karachi Sheraton Hotel and Towers.
This event will provide a tremendous boost to Information Technology in the country and provide an opportunity for business and industry leaders to interact with SAP professionals and learn about SAP Solutions that have radically improved the working and efficiency of several major organisations in Pakistan and across the globe.
SAP is the leading Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Solution in the world today. SAP created the ERP concept in 1972 and since then has improved this solution from their 2 tier SAP R/2 Solution to the mySAP Business Suite web-enabled solution. Now SAP has 56% market share in business application solutions.
Siemens Pakistan has played a pioneering role in introducing SAP Solutions to Pakistan. Siemens Pakistan implemented SAP as a strategic decision in the organisation in 1998, and the Siemens SAP practice was born. In 1999 Siemens Pakistan attained Value Added Reseller (VAR) status from SAP Malaysia, authorising it to market, sell, and maintain SAP Solutions in Pakistan.
Shortly thereafter, Siemens Pakistan was also named as a SAP Certified Solutions Partner (CSP), thus launching Siemens Pakistan's role as the premier implementer and integrator of SAP Solutions in Pakistan. These were times when companies had very limited knowledge regarding ERP solutions, their benefits, and what value these solutions could add.
When Siemens Pakistan began offering SAP Solutions to the Pakistani marketplace, it faced the challenge of a scarce and costly, skilled SAP resource base. To fill the skill-set gap and raise awareness of SAP in Pakistan, Siemens took the bold step of establishing a SAP Academy in Pakistan.
In 1999 Siemens Pakistan was awarded Authorised Training Center (ATC) status from SAP Asia Pacific. Since that time, Siemens Pakistan has conducted 13 SAP academies and produced more than 400 SAP consultants. The Siemens Academy has more than a 90% success rate, and consistently attracts students from within Pakistan and from across international borders.
Siemens has been a presence in the subcontinent since 1870; our first offices opened in Lahore in 1934, and since then, Siemens Pakistan has, and continues to, play a vital role in the Pakistani economy by providing quality products, services, and training. The introduction of SAP in Pakistan was in line with our philosophy of being responsive to a world of dynamically changing technologies, and continuously striving to remain at the forefront of innovation. Now, thanks to SAP solutions, our industries can keep pace with the changing global business environment.
Siemens Pakistan, whose Corporate Principles include a commitment to customer satisfaction, is not only providing professionally trained resources through it's SAP academy, but also the highest quality Solutions for All Businesses.
