Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) chief Qazi Hussain Ahmed said he wanted to launch a decisive movement against Pervez Musharraf, and for the restoration of democracy. "But the decision in this regard would be made by Steering Committee of Leadership Council of the United Opposition".
Qazi Hussain Ahmed said this while addressing a press conference here on Tuesday. Muhammad Haneef Abbasi, MNA and Dr Kamal, senior Jamat-i-Islami leader flanked him.
"The movement would be against dictatorship, and for restoration of democracy in the country and I would like to lunch a movement immediately", he said adding that Pervez Musharraf has ruined the immediate foundation of Pakistan by taking different anti-Islam and anti-Pakistan moves.
Qazi Hussain, who is also Ameer of Jamat-i-Islami Pakistan rejected the statement of government that Pakistan has no direct conflict with Israel saying Pakistan was attained on the name of Islam and Baitul Muqadas was still under illegal occupation of Israel and Israel was still killing Palestinians. "Pakistan is only country in this world attained on the name of Islam so that any force working against Muslims is enemy of Pakistan", he added.
He quoted Quaid-e-Azam as saying that in 1932 he said that Israel illicit child of repressive forces and if it forcibly occupied Palestinian territory there would be no peace in Middle East. "Quaid-e-Azam, the founding father of Pakistan is saying these words while present government and a party writing Quaid's name with it is recognising Israel", he added.
