Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the National Industrial Parks, Jehangir Bashir Nawaz, has declared Sundar Industrial Estate (SIE) as a role model for the industrial development of the country.
During a visit to Punjab Industrial Estates, he said that the SIE has laid down a foundation for industrial development in the country. Its replication in other parts of country would help eradicate poverty, in line with government policy while helping enhancing overall GDP of the country.
He was discussing infrastructure details of various upcoming Industrial Estates in the country with Chairman PIE Mohsin Syed at central office, says a spokesman here on Tuesday.
He said that PIE has given a new dimension to the industrialisation in the country, especially National Industrial Park at Karachi along with other such industrial Estates at Sindh and NWFP provinces are following the footsteps of the PIE administration.
Adaptation of cohesive industrialisation strategy would help developing an integrated industrial base across the country, Bashir Nawaz added.
He said that observing the future needs, PIE has already placed the foundation stone for vocational training inside its premises, which would help improve human resource standards of country.
