Pakistan's Ambassador at the Russian Federation Mustafa Kamal Kazi presented his credentials to President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday at a ceremony held in the Kremlin.
Speaking to the Ambassador, President Putin referred to his recent meeting with President General Pervez Musharraf in New York and expressed satisfaction at the discussions held to further reinforce mutually beneficial co-operation between the two countries in various fields.
He said the relations between Russia and Pakistan had become noticeably stronger during the past few years. "Russia is keen to further develop constructive co-operation with Pakistan, he said.
He wished every success to Ambassador Kazi in his efforts to further promote political and economic relations between the two countries.
The Ambassador conveyed greetings of President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, which were warmly reciprocated by President Putin.
He underlined the importance that Pakistan attached to further strengthening broad-based relationship with the Russian Federation especially in trade and economic fields.
