The compilation process of forms for I-15 plots and flats was under way and the Habib Bank management had so far compiled the data of 65,000 out of around 225,000 applicants, an official of Capital Development Authority (CDA) said Wednesday.
Most of the applicants, almost 35,000 have submitted forms for plots of five marlas, according to the data compiled so far.
In seven marlas category, 25,000 forms have been submitted while 2,000 and 3,000 forms have been received for flats and plots of six marlas respectively.
There are 8,000 flats in I-15 sector and the applications so far compiled showed that the applicants, mostly low-paid employees took little interest in flats, apparently because of the requirement to submit a bank draft of 3,50,000 rupees with the application form.
The official said that the applicants who got the bank draft but failed to submit application forms till the expiry of last date could get refund through an application to the CDA.
Meanwhile, the anti-encroachment directorate has warned the general public to refrain from purchasing or selling multi-storey apartments along the Murree road in Bhara Kahu Area.
An official of the directorate said that action was also being initiated against the owners and managers of such multi-storey apartments.
Anti-encroachment drive was underway in the areas identified in the survey report conducted recently by the Authority, he said. Notices had already been served on the encroacher and a restaurant illegally constructed in Shahdara area of the federal capital was demolished last week.
"Any construction undertaken in violation of the CDA rules or by the housing schemes without prior approval of the Authority stands illegal and action is being taken in this regard," he said.
