Admiral Shahid honoured with Malaysian Valour Award

The Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Shahid Karimullah, has been conferred the honorary Malaysian Armed Forces Order for Valour Award as a Gallant Commander in acknowledgement of his long and meritorious services.
Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Dato Sri Mohammad Najib conferred the award in an impressive ceremony held in his office at Putrajaya, Malaysia, says an ISPR (Navy) press release issued here on Wednesday.
It said that the Naval Chief, after three days' official visit of Malaysia, returned here on Wednesday. During his stay in Malaysia, Admiral Shahid visited Ministry of Defence and called on Chief of Defence Forces Admiral Tan Sri Dato' Sri Mohammad Anwar.
Upon arrival at the Ministry of Defence, the Naval chief was presented guard of honour and was introduced to the key ranks of the Ministry. During his visit, Admiral Shahid Karimullah held discussions with Deputy Chief of Royal Malaysian Navy, Vice Admiral Datuk Ramlan Mohamed Ali and other high-ranking military officials.
The visit of the Naval chief not only cemented the existing cordial relations between the two navies, but also provided a forum to dwell upon joint ventures and new avenues.
