Revenue officers urged to prove dedication

NWFP Chief Secretary Ejaz Ahmed Qureshi has asked revenue officers to discharge their duties with more dedication as they are custodian of the land of common people as well as the state had assigned them heavy responsibilities of protecting the rights of landowners.
He was speaking at a farewell dinner arranged by the Revenue officers in the honour of Colonel Wakil Khan Afridi (Retd), Senior Member Board of Revenue on his retirement at Officers' Mess Peshawar on Wednesday.
He said revenue officers have always rendered tremendous services during the peace as well as emergencies.
He expressed the hope that the officers of the department will follow the footsteps of Wakil Khan Afridi, who had rendered commendable services to the department and put it on the right track by inculcating the team work-spirit among the officers of the department.
He said that being a DMG officer and as Senior Member Board of Revenue, the services of Wakil Khan Afridi would be remembered for long.
On this occasion, Chief Secretary Ejaz Ahmed Qureshi, Additional Chief Secretary Mir Liaq Shah and Ghulam Farooq, Member Board of Revenue, presented gifts to Wakil Khan Afridi in recognition of his meritorious services to the Revenue Department.
Speaking on the occasion, the outgoing senior member Board of Revenue thanked the Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary and revenue officers for giving them a warm departure.
Administrative secretaries and other senior civil officers were also present on the occasion.
