World Bank team visits Lahore LTU today

A delegation of the World Bank will visit the Large Taxpayers Unit (LTU) at Lahore here on Friday. The WB officials are scheduled to meet the Lahore Large Taxpayers Unit Director General Hussain Sherazi, who will brief them about the goals and objectives of LTU with reference to the reforms undertaken by the government in the tax machinery, said a press release issued here on Thursday.
Hussain Sherazi will also apprise the World Bank delegation of the achievements of the new set-up which is catering for top taxpayers of the Punjab for all federal domestic taxes under a one-roof facility ie income tax, sales tax and federal excise duty.
The World Bank team will also see the range of facilities and services being offered to the taxpayers atthe Lahore LTU. The delegation comprising several senior World Bank executives, including Mudassir Khan, Michael Engelschalk, Michel Zarnowiecki, Esperanza Lasagabaster, Erik Pushkar, Haseeb Ahmad, Amir Munir, Shabana Khawar, Syeda Zia Al-Jalaly, Hassan Saqib, Anwar Bhatti,. Asif Ali, Haroon Sharif, and Zoi Thompson.
