Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 128,901 tonnes of cargo including 112,528 tonnes import and 15,637 tonnes export cargo including 4,120 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Friday.
The cargo comprised of 90,794 tonnes dry cargo including 58,268 tonnes general cargo; 9,451 tonnes sugar; 8,560 tonnes coal; 1,678 tonnes rock phosphate; 8,958 tonnes fertiliser; 2,991 tonnes rice; 888 tonnes cement and 37,734 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo.
Five ships namely Kuo Hung, YM Sun, Apl Orchid, Hyndai Highway and Glorious Ocean sailed out to sea during the report period.
Ten vessels viz Cape Bona Vista, Kota Teguh, Dong He, YM Sun, Apl Orchid, Global Progress, Makra, Puma, Lalaar and Stolt Azami are currently at the berths.
Five ships namely Puma, Cape Bona Vista, Cargo Enterprise, Dong He and Glory-C expected to sail on Friday, while two vessels viz Lalaar and Kota Teguh expected to sail on Saturday.
Four vessels viz MT Swat, MT Shalamar, Iran Kordestan and Atlantic Express due to arrive on Friday, while four ships namely Nolowati, Sagamore, Maersk Arizona and Sea Breee are due to arrive on Saturday.

The cargo comprised of 3,231 tonnes seeds; 6,759 tonnes wheat; 13,308 tonnes chemicals and 46,444 tonnes containerised cargo.
Three vessels viz P&O Nedlloyd Cobra, CV Oocl Authority and Kinu Gawa sailed out to sea during the report period, while two more ships namely CV Khalid Ibn Waleed and chemicals carrier Yanaseni are expected to sail on Friday.
A total of four vessels viz Yang Quan, Gemini, Msc Camilla and Norwave are currently at the outer anchorage.
Two ships namely MT Gemini and CV Msc Camilla due to take berths on Friday.
MT Longfin with diesel oil due to arrive on Friday.
