An eight-member high-level delegation of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) led by its Deputy Inspector General Harish Chandra Kashyap arrived in Khokharapar on September 22 to hold a quarterly Border meeting on the day-to-day security matters along Pak-India border.
According to a press release issued here on Saturday, Brigadier Taqdees Ahmed Lodhi, deputy director general, Pakistan Rangers (Sindh), along with other senior officers of Sindh Rangers received the Indian delegation at border line and held a meeting which lasted for four hours.
The matters like smuggling, illegal border crossing, drug-trafficking, joint patrolling and exchange of prisoners were discussed during the meeting. The meeting was held in very cordial and friendly atmosphere.
These meetings contribute positively towards the confidence building measures which both the governments are undertaken now-a-days.-PR
