President and Prime Minister grieved

President Pervez Musharraf on Sunday expressed his heartfelt grief and sorrow over the loss of innocent lives in road accidents in Sindh. In his condolence message, the President prayed that Almighty Allah may rest the departed souls in eternal peace and grant courage and fortitude to the members of the bereaved families to bear this irreparable loss.
Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz has also expressed his heartfelt condolence over the loss of innocent lives in the said road accidents.
He contacted the Sindh chief minister Dr Arbab Rahim and directed that the injured should be provided best possible medical facilities.
Meanwhile, Dr Arbab has announced compensation for the families of the victims.
He announced this while talking to newspersons during his visit to Liaquat Medical Hospital Jamshoro on Sunday evening.
COMPENSATION: The chief minister announced Rs 100,000 each for families of the deceased, Rs 50,000 for each injured critically and Rs 25,000 each for those who sustained minor injuries in the two accidents.
Dr Arbab inquired the well being of the injured at the hospital. He said investigation report of the two accidents showed that both the accidents occurred due to over-speeding and negligence of drivers, and directed the concerned officials to ensure early disposal of compensation to the victims.
The Sindh chief minister announced the transformation of Sindh Traffic Police on the pattern of Motorway Police to control fatal accidents at highways.
He also announced establishment of Trauma Center at Jamshoro and upgradation of Manjhand Health Unit to the level of Taluka Hospital.
The Chief Minister attended the Urs ceremony of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar in Sehwan Sharif.
The chief minister laid wreath and Chaddar on the Mazar of the saint and offered Fateha.
Remembering those who died in the two road accidents, he ordered the Auqaf Department and Mazar administration to cancel musical gala, scheduled to be held on Monday as apart of concluding ceremony of the Urs.
