US ambassador Ryan C. Crocker has expressed his heart-felt appreciation and thanks to the people of Pakistan and the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) for generous and gracious assistance provided by them for the victims of hurricane Katrina.
PRCS last week presented a check for $50,000 to the US embassy in Islamabad for the American Red Cross, as a donation from the organisation for the hurricane Katrina victims.
At a ceremony held on Monday at the PRCS, the US ambassador presented a certificate of appreciation and gratitude to the Society. Red Crescent Society acting chairman Muhammad Saeed Ahmed Qureshi received the certificate from the ambassador.
In his brief remarks, the ambassador said the people of the United States are touched and deeply grateful for the generous assistance provided by the people of Pakistan and PRCS for the hurricane Katrina victims.
