17 elected unopposed in KCA polls

All 17 candidates on different seats in the Karachi Cotton Association (KCA) elections 2005-06 have been elected unopposed. Out of the total 17 candidates, who were elected unopposed, seven candidates were for the seats of buyers/exporters, eight contested for the sellers and two on other seats of the KCA.
According to KCA announcement here on Tuesday, these candidates were returned unopposed as directors on KCA for 2005-06, as seven candidates withdrew their nomination papers against buyers/exporters seats and four candidates kept away from contesting for the sellers seats.
Similarly, two candidates on other seats were also declared the winners unopposed as four candidates withdrew their nomination papers.
Those who elected unopposed were: Ahmed Haji Ebrahim, Akbarali Hashwani, Asif Inam, Muhammad Ikhlaq Memon, Nadershaw D. Kabraji, Shahid Anwar Tata, and Zahid Bashir on Buyers/Exporters seats, while Fayyaz Umar, Junaid Balagam, Khawaja Muhammad Zubair, Muhammad Atif, Muhammad Khyzar Yousuf, NS Chawla and Waqas Anwar on Sellers seat, and Amir Javed and Shahid Shafiq were elected on other seats. The KCA also announced that there would be no election on these seats.
