Ecoli bacteria found in Karachi water samples

Out of 144 water samples collected from various parts of Karachi, 102 samples were found containing a bacteria which is injurious to human health.
Various teams of Regulation and Quality Control section of City Government's Health Department had collected 144 water samples from Landhi Town, Mohammadi Colony, F.B. Area, Patel Para, Rizwan Society, Safoora Goth, Sher Mohammed Village Keamari and Lyari and sent them to laboratory for analysis.
According to laboratory report, 102 samples which were taken from Landhi Town and Lyari areas were found containing ecoli bacteria which is injurious to human health and area engineer of Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) were informed about the same.
People of these areas were advised not to use turbid water giving bad smell. They were told to take only boiled water and contact the nearest health center in case of vomiting and diarrhea.
