Iran to defend its rights: Consul General

The Iranian Consul General in Karachi, His Excellency Musa Hussaini said here on Friday night that the Islamic Republic of Iran would adhere to its stand in keeping with the declarations made by the Iranian President Ahmedi Nijad in his address at the UN General Assembly's 60th anniversary meeting.
He told UPP that Iran has always followed a path of firmness for its rights with also supporting the rights of other nations. "Therefore, the Islamic Republic was not going to give up its rights in relation to peaceful development of nuclear power."
The Iranian Consul General said that in the past also Iran had successfully faced the threats from other countries. Husseini maintained that the changes in the international political and economic situation did affect the countries, but Iran with a robust economy and reliance on its own strength was in a position to stand up and declare clearly that it shall defend its rights.
