The Ministry of Labour and Manpower in collaboration with the International Labour Organisation (ILO) Islamabad will hold a National Tripartite Stakeholders Consultation here on Monday.
The event is a part of the series of dialogues and consultations under the project "Women Employment, Concerns and Working Conditions," being jointly launched by Ministry of Labour and Manpower and ILO.
The project, funded by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), will be executed by the ILO.
It aims to build national institutional capacity, provide policy and legislative development advice and extend direct support to women for income generation by working with key ILO partners, including government, workers organisations, employers' federations and the civil society.
Secretary Labour and Manpower, Malik Asif Hayat would be the chief guest and First Secretary Development, Canadian High Commission, Ms Nancy J Foster is one of the key speakers.
The consultation would be participated by high government officials, representatives from workers and employers federations, civil society and academia.
The primary objective of the first consultation is to develop a shared understanding about key components and objectives of the new project, fine tune different project components and discuss and formulate recommendations for consideration of National Steering Committee particularly vis-a-vis implementation modalities, partners and geographical focus.
