The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore has arranged an orientation seminar for newly admitted students of the DVM first semester session 2005-06.
UVAS Vice-chancellor Professor Dr Manzoor Ahmad was the chief guest on the occasion. Deans of faculties made presentations about the functioning of departments and academic courses being offered under their faculties. The students were also informed of semester system rules, exams' schedules and other activities.
Speaking on the occasion, the vice-chancellor said the UVAS was providing an enabling academic and research environment on the campus, where a specific schedule was followed for classes, practical work, exams and extra-curricular activities. He said the university was equally focusing on character building of students, besides imparting them professional skills.
He advised the students to make best use of their stay in the university, and focus on their studies.
