Embassies asked to organise 'Pakistan Week'

The government has directed the embassies to hold "Pakistan Week" to introduce Pakistani products and attract foreign investment to sustain economic growth.
Sources said the countries where "Pakistan Week" will be held included USA, UK, France, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Nigeria, Switzerland, Holland, Russia, Japan, China, Malaysia and all those countries where exports from Pakistan could be increased.
The first "Pakistan Week' was held in Afghanistan some time back and the diplomats claim it was a good experience in all senses as it gave impetuous to exports from Pakistan to Afghanistan.
Pakistan's ambassadors and high commissioners will make arrangements for "Pakistan Week" in their respective countries. The senior officials of different ministries will also participate in "Pakistan Week".
The private sector is being encouraged to participate in 'The Weeks' to get an opening to introduce their products or seek investment for joint ventures for their projects.
Sources said the government would bear expenditures and facilitate private sector to ensure its maximum participation in "The Weeks."
