Interim bail to parliamentary secretary allowed

The Lahore High Court (LHC) has allowed interim bail to Punjab Parliamentary Secretary, Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan and his cousin Ijaz Ahmed Khan till October 09.
The petitioner, Malik Muhammad Ali, former deputy chairman senate and father of the accused contended before the court through his counsel that Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan was on bail from a competent court of law but respondent SHO arrested him illegally and without lawful authority.
The respondent SHO informed him that some provisions of anti terrorists act have been included in the case registered against him, hence he was arrested. The court, after hearing the petitioner's counsel at length, allowed him interim bail till October 09 and rose for the day.
