Railways to give land to Sheikhupura dry port

The railways' authorities have decided to hand over its land to Sheikhupura Dry Port Trust after retrieving the same from illegal occupants. The decision was made at a high-level meeting between the Railway authorities and members of Sheikhupura Dry Port Trust, which was chaired by Additional General Manager Ali Arif.
The meeting, which lasted for over an hour, discussed a number of pending issues coming in the way of speedy completion of Sheikhupura Dry Port Trust.
The Railway Authorities assured the Chairman of Sheikhupura Dry Port Trust Mian Mohammad Yousaf of their full co-operation. They expressed the optimism that after the completion of the proposed Dry Port Trust the situation as far as imports and exports are concerned would take a positive turn and government would earn more revenue. The railway officials who attended the meeting informed the authorities of their viewpoint.
