US coffee futures settled in negative territory Thursday, with a lack of market interest anchoring prices to a 10-cent trading range for more than two weeks now, market sources said.
The New York Board of Trade's active December arabica contract finished at 93.50 cents a lb, down 0.20 cent and near the bottom of an intraday trading range from 93.25 to 95.45 cents.
March arabica dipped 0.15 cent to 96.80 cents, and back-month contracts slipped the same. Turnover reached an estimated 9,569 contracts, up from 8,202 lots officially tallied for Wednesday.
