US coffee futures ended at their loftiest prices in a month, buoyed by a late spurt of speculative buying, traders said. The New York Board of Trade's December arabica contract rose 1.35 cents to settle at 94.85 cents a lb, after trading from 92.80 to 95 cents.
Among other arabicas, March climbed 1.30 cents to 98.10 cents a lb. More distant months concluded up 1.30 to 1.35 cents. Estimated trading volume in arabica futures reached just 6,715 contracts, compared with the previous session's official tally of 9,668 lots.
