Qazi for relief work to rehabilitate quake victims

Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) President and Jamaat-i-Islami Pakistan Amir Qazi Hussain Ahmed, has expressed deep sense of grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the severe jolts which hit many parts of the country on Saturday.
Qazi Hussain Ahmed has asked the MMA; JI and Al-Khidmat Foundation workers to immediately start relief operation especially in the worst hit remote areas. He asked the MMA workers to take active part in rescue operations. He made an appeal to the people for voluntarily blood donations in nearby hospitals. Relief camps should be set up through out the country to collect donations and relief goods for the victims, he said.
Qazi said that earthquake has also destroyed the communication network besides razing scores of houses to ground where people are trapped under the debris. He said natural calamities are nothing but warning and test for the humanity. These are an indirect call from Allah to review our deeds as a nation. He urged the people to repent to Allah Almighty and focus on personal reformation and of the society alike.
