The ongoing restructuring of Pakistan Industrial Technical Assistance Center (PITAC) has started yielding positive results in terms of expansion of clientele base and revenue generation.
"The current efforts for induction of state-of-the-art machinery and enhancement of human resource base will help further improve the financial health of the center," said Technology Up gradation and Skill Development Company (TUSDEC) Chairman, Almas Hyder while presiding over a meeting on PITAC here on Tuesday.
TUSDEC consultant, Suhael Ahmed, PITAC General Manager, Colonel Syed Anwar Ali Pervez (Retd) and other senior officials of the center attended the meeting.
The TUSDEC Chairman said that the government was very supportive to the efforts for the up-gradation of technology at the common facility centers like PITAC and in the industrial sector.
He said that marketing activities of PITAC should be further strengthened to achieve annual and monthly targets. He expressed satisfaction over the achievement of monthly production and revenue targets by the PITAC.
PITAC General Manager, Syed Anwar Ali Pervez told the meeting that the center set up by the government in the year 1962, had recently received a number of work orders from the public sector organisations like Specialised Machinery Complex (SMC) of Pakistan Steel Mills and a leading tractor manufacturing firm.
He said that one-window system had been introduced at PITAC to facilitate the customers. He also talked about the support being provided by PITAC to the local industry in the field of air-conditioning and refrigeration.
