Pakistan Medical Association is extremely grateful to the doctors' community and medical students all over the country, who are working hard to collect medicine, tents, blankets, milk, water and other life-saving materials. PMA is also thankful to general public, who is helping the relief agencies at this time of disaster.
According to a press release, PMA Karachi has sent three teams of OT technicians, general surgeons and orthopaedics to Mansehra area. It has also sent two trucks of medicine, 200 tents, 3000 blankets, white cloths for 1000 coffins, 2000 bags and food material like milk, sugar, biscuit etc.
PMA teams from Multan, Lahore, Rawalpindi and Peshawar are also collaborating with the Karachi team. PMA president Dr Umer Ayub Khan is co-ordinating all the activities from Peshawar. Twelve teams of doctors from Peshawar are working in and around Peshawar.
A team of doctors and OT technicians from Karachi will reach Muzaffarabad in a Sesna aircraft provided by a donor. Dr Hadi Bux Jatoi has organised three trucks of relief goods.-PR
