Bangladesh sends relief goods

A C-130 plane carrying blankets, biscuits, winter clothes, candles and medicine, will be arriving in Islamabad from Dhaka this afternoon to share in providing emergency relief to earthquake affected people of Pakistan.
More relief consignments from Bangladesh will be dispatched in the coming days, a press release said on Wednesday.
Bangladesh Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia telephoned the President General Pervez Musharraf last night to express her country's support and solidarity with Pakistan on the colossal loss of lives and destruction from Saturday's (October 8) earthquake. She assured the President of all possible assistance from Bangladesh in dealing with the demands of large-scale relief operations, the release said.-PR
