VVIP visits affecting rescue work

I was watching the horrific scenes on BBC of 8/10 earthquake that hit Islamabad and Azad Kashmir. A volunteer at Margalla Towers was being interviewed by BBC journalist Lyce Ducet. The volunteer appealed to the President and Prime Minister not to visit Margalla Towers or any other earthquake affected areas.
He told Lyce Ducet that rescue work had to be halted for 2-3 hours due to the visits of these VVIPS for security reasons and 'time' at this point was playing the most important part in rescue work that was being undertaken.
So, President and Prime Minister, please stay away from earthquake affected areas and let the army and other rescue workers do their job.
