SKMH staff donates one-day salary

The Staff at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre have volunteered to donate one-day salary for the relief of earthquake victims.
Starting on the day of calamity, the hospital immediately established a 'Crisis Management Cell', which has since been working round the clock on various relief projects.
A team of qualified surgeons and physicians, along with support paramedical staff with medicines and life saving drugs was dispatched to the worst hit area of Balakot. The team is currently assisting DHQ hospital at Abbotabad.
Expressing grief over the nation's misfortune in loss of life and property, the CEO, Dr Faisal Sultan said that like entire nation, the hospital and its staff stood by the side of the victims in their hour of need.
In addition, another medical team consisting of senior doctors with sufficient medicines and other essential items is being sent to another badly hit area, Bagh in Azad Kashmir by Thursday.
The CEO said that the hospital had launched a relief campaign to collect essential supplies such as food, water, medicines, blankets and tents. He appealed to the nation to donate generously for the relief effort. Donations can be made at the hospital, or any of its 35 collection centres set up by the hospital all over the country.
