Well-known artist and social worker Jimmy Engineer has asked the politicians to sink their petty differences and work for the relief and rehabilitation of the earthquake victims which hit the NWFP, Azad Kashmir and other areas.
In a statement issued from Karachi, Jimmy Engineer said it is high time that politicians irrespective of their political and other affiliations should come forward and indulge in most desired and wanted humanitarian work.
He advised the politicians to do some soul searching and ask themselves what they have done to alleviate the sufferings of the large number of brothers and sisters in distress in the affected areas and looking towards.
He said the politicians and people belonging to all segments of society should thank Almighty Allah for their being still alive and not becoming the unfortunate victims of the catastrophe tragedy.
Appreciating the measures being taken by the government for providing relief and rehabilitation of the quake hit people by mobilising all resources and sources, he said that the international community is giving humanitarian and financial assistance to Pakistan because of the present rulers.-PR
