Cisco's Linksys plans Skype Internet phone

Cisco Systems Inc.'s Linksys, its consumer wireless-network-gear unit, plans to market a cordless telephone with Internet phone service provider Skype Technologies S.A., the companies said on October 11.
The product will be the first that lets Skype customers use a telephone to speak, the companies said. Skype users typically use a headset connected directly to their computers. Linksys plans to release its Internet Telephony Kit on October 17 for an estimated street price of $129.99.
