Taiwan's largest telecommunications firm, Chunghwa Telecom Co Ltd, said on October 11 that it earned a net profit of T$38.3 billion for the first nine months of the year, off 2.5 percent from a year ago.
Chunghwa Telecom Co Ltd announced profits after the close of stock market trade in Taiwan. Its ordinary shares rose 0.18 percent to close at T$57.10, compared with a 0.25 percent loss in the benchmark TAIEX share index.
