18 Oct, 2005

Initially 200 tents have been provided to the Capital Development Authority (CDA) for establishing tentage village in H-11, here for providing shelter to the displaced quake victims.
Cabinet Division Additional Secretary Yaseen Ahmad on Monday told the PTV that victims had been airlifted from quake-hit areas by Pakistan Army and admitted in various hospitals of the country. A sizeable number of patients were also in the hospitals of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. The tentage village would resolve accommodation problems of attendants of the patients, he said.
For overcoming shortage, more tents were coming from China, UAE and Saudi Arabia. Within four to five days, the situation would be normalised.
