PBC forms relief fund

With an initial amount of Rs 500,000, Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) has constituted a relief fund and asked all the bar members to generously donate in the fund.
The bar in its meeting held on Monday, with Vice-chairman Hafiz Abdur Rehman Ansari in the chair, expressed deep sorrow over the loss of thousands of lives in Muzaffarabad, Bagh, Rawla Kot and other areas of NWFP and AJK due to recent earthquake. The meeting also decided to send a delegation of bar to Muzaffarabad to distribute relief goods to the quake victims.
Hafiz Ansari called upon the lawyers to help the affected families and deposit cash amount in bank account no 228-17 of HBL Supreme Court building Islamabad.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Muhammad Kazim Khan, Raja Mehmood Akhtar, Sardar Muhammad Latif Khosa, Muhammad Akram Sheikh, Abdul Haleem Pirzada, Malik Rab Nawaz and Rashid A Rizvi.
