CDGL to set up 100-bed temporary hospital

19 Oct, 2005

The City District Government Lahore (CDGL) is planning to set up 100-bed temporary hospital at the Lahore airport in view of arrival of a large number of earthquake victims from quake hit areas. District Nazim Lahore Mian Amer Mahmood revealed this while presiding over Price Review Committee here on Tuesday.
Amer directed the administration to strictly enforce fixed prices of eatable items and take action against the profiteers. He also asked the officers concerned to regularly check the prices of eatable items in Ramzan Bazaars, Etwar Bazaars and general market so that shopkeepers may not charge high prices.
He said that funds are being collected from educational institutions and relief goods including blankets and other necessary eatable items are being sent for the earthquake-affected areas of Azad Kashmir.
