Minister of State for Housing and Works, Sardar Muhammad Asif Nakai has said that the government was taking practical steps for the rehabilitation of the disabled persons to make them useful citizens of the society.
He was talking to office-bearers of Human Rights Defence Society, Pattoki during his visit to the office of the society. Tehsil Nazim Pattoki Sardar Atif Nakai and City Nazim Sheikh Abdur Razaq were also present on the occasion.
The Minister said the government had already allocated quota for disabled persons in the government service to involve them in the mainstream of national development.
He lauded the efforts of the society for providing artificial limbs to the disabled persons and setting up a training centre for them in the city.
He further said that the government would provide all out assistance to the NGOs working for the betterment of the depressed segment of the society.
