Abducted boy recovered; kidnappers held

Shayan, a student of primary section, who was kidnapped eleven days back near Makki Hospital Peoples Colony, returned home safely, here Friday night, after payment of rupees five million.
According to details, six-year-old Shayan, a student of Class II, was kidnapped from Peoples Colony by three armed men while he was going to school in a car along with his cousins. Shayan was taken to a house of a Dhudiwala and the kidnappers demanded a ransom of Rs 200 million for his release.
Shayan's father Ayaz, owner of a weaving unit, Mubashir, lodged a complaint with Peoples Colony Police Station, but the police did not take any notice.
Discouraged by the police's response, Shayan's relatives prepared a plan to trap the kidnappers. They promised to pay the desired amount of the ransom to the kidnappers on Jaranwala road.
According to the plan, Shayan's relatives reached Jaranwala road, where the kidnappers along with Shayan were waiting. However, after the payment of rupees five million, the kidnappers released Shayan.
According to police, they watched this scene and when the boy was released, appeared on the scene and challenged the kidnappers and after overpowering them.
They arrested two kidnappers Qamar Lohar and Tauseef Ahmad and recovered rupees four million, one dozen hand grenades, three Kalashinikoves and several bullets from their possession.
According to the police, besides the two accused, belonging to a gang of kidnappers and dacoits, 10 other members of the gang were absconding.
