Oil exports from Nigeria's 240,000 barrels per day (bpd) Brass River tanker terminal resumed on Saturday after protesting unions reached a deal with Italian energy giant Agip, a unit of ENI, a ship agent said.
Shipments from the terminal were disrupted on Friday as an industrial action by Nigeria's main oil unions, which began on Wednesday, dragged into a third day.
"The dispute was resolved late last night and the terminal resumed full operations this morning," the shipping agent told Reuters, asking not to be named.
A meeting between the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) and the blue collar NUPENG union and Agip to resolve the dispute over pay had ended in deadlock earlier on Friday, but union leaders said they later struck a deal to suspend their work-to-rule action. The unions are demanding among other things a 100 percent pay rise, while the company had offered a 25 percent increase, unionists said.
