Shujaat for shunning all types of differences

Pakistan Muslim League President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on Sunday called for shunning all political and sectarian differences at this hour of need. Speaking as the chief guest at Shahadat-e-Hazrat Ali (RA) Conference at a local hotel, he said that Pakistan would overcome the catastrophe caused by October 8 earthquake.
Referring to the exemplary spirit shown by the government, Pakistan Army and the nation at large in facing this difficulty, he said that Pakistani nation had demonstrated unity and selflessness which had only parallel in 1965 war.
He stated that as a nation we should repent for the sins committed by us so that Allah Almighty saves from trials and tribulations in future.
He said: "we should try to follow the footsteps of Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) and Hazrat Ali (RA) who are a beacon of light for every Muslim."
National Assembly Deputy Speaker Sardar Muhammad Yousuf said that we should promote religious toleration in the society and root out the menace of sectarianism from the society once for all.
Parliamentary Secretary for Education Dewan Jaffar Hussain Bukhari, Senator Dilawar Abbas, Iranian Cultural Attache Ahmed Mausavi, Agha Murtaza Pooya, Fauzia Saleem Abbas and Dr Ghazanfar Mehdi also addressed the conference.
