Aptpma contributes Rs 4 million to relief fund

Three regional offices of the All Pakistan Textile Processing Mills Association (Aptpma) have deposited Rs 4 million in the President Relief Fund for the earthquake victims, besides providing several truckloads of relief goods to the disaster-affected areas.
Dr Arshad A Vohra, Chairman of the Association, stated this in a press statement, issued here on Saturday by the Aptpma Head Office, Faisalabad.
He said that the recent earthquake was one of the most unprecedented and unparalleled calamities of human history in this part of the world, hence it is the moral duty of every trader and industrialist of Pakistan to donate generously for this humanitarian cause.
He said that the members of three regions of the Aptpma, including Faisalabad, Karachi and Lahore-Gujranwala, have donated a sum of Rs 4 million initially, besides sending several truckloads of relief goods to the affected areas, while fresh donations are still pouring in.
He lauded goodwill gesture of his fellow-members and appealed to them to rise to the occasion and contribute generously for this national catastrophe of unprecedented magnitude.
