Chief Scouts and Chairman Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), Tariq Kirmani along with Provincial Commissioner Ghazanfar Mashkoor visited the base camp of PIA Scouts Rescue Squad in earthquake-hit areas of Mansehra, Garhi Habibullah.
Squad Leader Sadaqat Mehmood briefed Tariq Kirmani about their rescue and relief activities in the earthquake devastated areas, said a statement issued here from PIA Boy Scouts Association on Sunday.
He also informed about the medical facilities available at the base camp and sub-camps of the PIA Scouts.
The Chief Scout distributed relief goods among the quake victims. He praised the services of PIA scouts for the victims of the natural calamity.
It is worth mentioning that the PIA Scouts Rescue Squad under the directive of the Chief Scout Tariq Kirmani, had rushed to the quake affected areas. Squad leader Sadaqat Mehmood from PIA Scout Headquarters, Islamabad had promptly reached Margala Tower's site with 25 scouts, Squad leader Sadaqat Mehmood, leading another team reached Mansehra (Garhi Habibullah) with 26 scouts, and Squad leader Raja Zahid pitched their camps in Bagh area with 15 scouts and since then have been actively participating in the relief operations.
