A United States-based welfare organisation, "Pakistan Association of Greater Boston," is actively taking part in relief efforts for the earthquake victims in Pakistan.
Organisation's Head Dure-e-Afzal talking to Voice of America said, "Our first priority is the fund raising. The US people have also warmly donated for the quake-affected people. In this connection, we are co-ordinating with other Pakistani welfare organisations," he added.
He said they had started another drive for the quake- stricken people under the banner of "donation in kind," and added, "We sent ten trucks loaded with relief goods including tents and blankets, and this process is still on."
He said they were also collecting medicines, adding, "We have sent so far half a million dollars in the shape of cash for rehabilitation of quake-victims."
He said a large number of volunteers from every walk of life were taking part in those activities. "Meanwhile, people are contacting us that how can they contribute in this relief process," he added.
